Biography
Kristel Blackman founded Tantalum in 2002. From Australia, this quintet of artists share their passion for rock. The lineup took its first incarnation in the sisters Kristel and Melissa Blackman on guitars, Cassie McCawley on bass, Anthea Hull on drums and completed by Elysia Agius on the main micro.
The only change since then has been at the drums, when Anthea was replaced by Jacinta “JC” Rossignoli.
Their style is made of a hard rock base, to which they’ve added melodic metal riffs. Among their cited influences we read Van Halen, Motley Crue, Poison, Veruca Salt, Free and Wishbone Ash.
Elyisa Agius an Tantalum parted ways in 2011, and after some auditions Sally Chatfield joined the band at the mic.
